James is a seasoned financial professional who has spent several years building a practice dedicated to the special needs community. As a sibling and advocate for his little sister with special needs, James has a unique understanding of the struggles families face in planning. In addition to James’ special needs practice he also provides traditional financial planning to clients by taking them through a comprehensive process that is ‘person-centric’.
When James is not meeting with clients he regularly provides continuing education for legal, financial and tax professionals on planning for an individual with a disability. He has been invited to speak at several national disability conferences and has co-authored many pieces advocating for various special needs issues.
James earned a B.A. degree in Biology and Political Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2007. He is a certified Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC). In addition to his professional designations, James holds several FINRA licenses. James is very involved and has served on various boards in the community. Currently, James is the Chair for the NYS Developmental Disabilities Planning Council and a member of the Board of Directors for the ARC of Monroe.
